Davido Adeleke, a well-known Afrobeat musician, discusses the motivation behind his N250 million crowdfunding pledge to charity.

It may be noted that the musician earlier donated N250 million to charity in Nigeria as part of a fundraiser for his 29th birthday.

Davido said he never expected crowdfunding to reach such a significant amount during an interview with American host Trevor Noah on The Daily Show.
Speaking about the motivation for the donation, Davido shared that despite encouragement from his fan base, his father had urged him not to keep the money to himself.
