After the “entanglement” issue, August Alsina says he has no communication with the Smiths as he gets ready for “The Surreal Life.”
Thanks to a remake of The Surreal Life, be ready to see a few superstars in fresh ways. The last episode of the unscripted television series aired 16 years ago, and the current seventh season of the program is giving it a makeover. Dennis Rodman, Tamar Braxton, Frankie Muoz, Stormy Daniels, and August Alsina are among the cast members.
Alsina admitted that he was hesitant to join the series in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. Cameras will follow the group of famous people as they navigate life together. He claimed that he first turned down the offer several times before finally accepting it because he didn’t want to have to revisit the Will and Jada Pinkett Smith debacle.
August Alsina Has “Absolutely Zero” Relationship With Jada Pinkett Smith
I wouldn’t walk into a setting where people would grasp for low-hanging fruit, he added, “so it was probably one of the considerations for me that I felt like, ‘Hmm, do I really want to do this?'”
The opportunity it afforded me to let people see and experience me and my true energy rather than the narrative that had been kind of obscuring my life for a while was worth it, in spite of the fact that on one hand I didn’t want to do it and was trying to protect myself.

When Will and Jada appeared on Red Table Talk to talk about the ups and downs of their unorthodox union, it seemed like it had all been yesterday. This includes conversation concerning Alsina’s earlier “entanglement” with Jada at a time when she and Will were still having an open relationship. The singer admitted that his relationship with the Smiths these days is “totally nothing.”
“I am only accountable to myself. I can only be accountable for my own behavior and hold myself accountable for my own deeds, words, and self-evident truths, he said. “To be quite honest with you, I’m not very shocked by anyone’s behavior these days.
Everyone is free to speak their mind and share whatever they choose; I’m not the police of that.
