Earlier last week, Trevor Noah discussed his departure from The Daily Show and his future career intentions with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. In his words, Noah is eager to try “anything.”
How come not? When asked why he made the decision to leave the venerable show, Noah responded. “People ask you this query as though they are expecting terrible news from you. I can see it, however I believe that everyone has experienced looking back on their lives.

After that, Noah went on to describe how the pandemic altered his outlook on life and how his departure from the program is a “joyous thing.”
We lived in our apartments for two years, during which time the world changed, he said. “In my opinion, if you don’t reflect on your life and consider what you might have done better, you haven’t gone through what we’ve all gone through. Therefore, I consider [my exit] to be a joyful event.
When asked what he’d like to do in the future, Noah responded that throughout the past seven years of hosting the show, he’s missed doing stand-up and traveling.
Noah exclaimed, ”
I’m so eager to accomplish everything. I had less time to travel because I was performing stand-up all over the world. I’m looking forward to going to a place where I used to spend weeks at a time. I would study the culture or acquire some of the language. I’m going to resume doing it. Producing, as in, resuming work behind the camera and developing new concepts You know, returning home to South Africa to spend more time with the family What I will be doing is everything.
Noah’s final Daily Show episode is slated for December 8, but Comedy Central has yet to name a replacement.
