The new Paris Saint-Germain coach Mauricio Pochettino will not be in charge of the team for Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash because he has just been confirmed for testing positive to the Covid-19.

The former Tottenham Hotspur manager has isolated hinself and will not be sitting on the bench for his side’s Ligue 1 match against Angers on Saturday.

Alternatively, assistant coaches Jesus Perez and Miguel D’Agostino will take charge of the team for the away game.

“Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino has tested positive for Sars-Cov2 after a PCR test,”

“He will now be in isolation and follow the appropriate medical advice.

“His assistants Jesus Perez and Miguel D’Agostino will take over his duties starting tomorrow at Angers.” PSG reports.

Since Pochettino took charge at the helm, as the coach of the French champions at the start of January, he has won two matches and drawn one

With his squad lifting the Trophee des Champions in a 2-1 victory against Marseilles on Wednesday. The first trophy Pochettino has won as a coach.
