Lock, who passed on at 58 years old, had been enduring cancer

The former 8 Out of 10 Cats star was a regular panelist on TV shows including Have I Got News For You, Would I Lie To You? what’s more, QI.

Reacting to the news, Chelsea FC, in a tweet through their Twitter handle on Wednesday, depicted Lock as a much-adored jokester.

The UEFA Champions League winners additionally sympathised by sending their deepest condolences to Lock’s loved ones.

“Everyone at Chelsea FC is saddened to learn of the passing of Sean Lock,” Chelsea’s tweet read.

“Sean was a much-loved comedian, fan of the Blues and a regular at Stamford Bridge. We send our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”

One of Lock’s first professional TV appearances was in 1993, starring alongside Rob Newman and David Baddiel on their TV show Newman and Baddiel in Pieces.
