The Weeknd Is Boycotting The Grammy Awards Until The End Of Time

Canadian star, Abel Makkonen Tesfaye also known as The Weeknd, is authoritatively boycotting the Grammys, the vocalist disclosed to The New York Times.

The news comes as the association behind the Grammys is confronting investigation over its mysterious democratic framework and claimed predispositions against Black and female artists. The 63rd yearly occasion will air this Sunday.

Many were left stunned after The Weeknd neglected to get any selections for the 2021 honors for his most recent collection, ‘After Hours’.

He has promised a lasting blacklist of the Grammys, charging debasement inside its designation interaction.

“Because of the secret committees,” he told the New York Times, “I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys.”

Of Tesfaye’s recently reported blacklist, Grammys acting president Harvey Mason Jr told the New York Times:

“We’re all disappointed when anyone is upset. But I will say that we are constantly evolving. And this year, as in past years, we are going to take a hard look at how to improve our awards process, including the nomination review committees.”

Mason said that the selection audit councils were set up in 1989 to take out the potential for a general-mindfulness inclination that may support artists who appreciate more prominent name acknowledgment over arising craftsmen, free music and late-year releases.
