Job Details
- Position: Order Picker
- Employment Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Rate: $21 – $22 per hour
- Location: South Sheridan Way, Mississauga
- Position Type: Temp to Perm
Job Responsibilities
As an order picker, your main duties will include:
- Accurately picking, packing, sealing, and labeling customer orders
- Verifying and scanning customer orders
- Understanding the elements of order fulfillment
- Building skids and/or small shipping orders
- Loading and unloading trucks as required
- Preparing all necessary shipping documents such as work orders and BOL
- Contacting couriers and transport companies for shipments requiring pickup
- Working in accordance with all health and safety policies and procedures
- Performing general physical activities to load, unload, sort, and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
- Examining shipment contents and comparing with records to verify accuracy
- Performing general warehouse duties
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications:
- High school diploma
- 2 years of warehousing experience
- Certified forklift (counter balance) and Raymond Reach experience is an asset
- Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
